We live in a free country where we are all allowed to air out our views and voice our opinions. But not to the point of discrimination against people of different religion, race, gender and lots more. The left has been fond of saying diversity is our strength, but same left is guilty of fighting opposing views or opinions they find different than theirs. This is the issue on ground with regards to the Antisemitic tweets of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, when she tweeted saying members of Congress are being paid by American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) to support Israel, an allegation that AIPAC has vehemently denied.
To be very clear, this is not the first time that Ilhan Omar has publicly embarrassed herself and the Congress of the United states with her controversial remarks on social media. She tweeted her support for Maduro of Venezuela following President Trump’s recognition of the Opposition leader Juan Guaido as the President of Venezuela amid the economic crisis in the country.
More so, she called on her fellow Freshmen, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida and Pressley to join her in calling for zero funding for DHS. In a tweet where she stated that Trump’s Wall is hateful and boasted how the Democrats stopped the funding for the wall.
Rep Ilhan Omar also accused the Covington boys of racism and supporting rape when they were evidence suggesting the Opposite was true. She had tweeted that the boys were taunting black protesters, despite accounts to the contrary, and cited a videotaped comment about rape, though it’s unclear whether it was one of the Covington students who said it.
Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leaders have called on Rep. Omar to apologise for her Antisemitic remarks, and instead of a deep apology from someone who is actually repentant or having a change in opinion about Jews and Israel, this is what she had to say.
“Anti-Semitism is real and I am grateful for Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes,” Omar wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. “My intention is never to offend my constituents or Jewish Americans as a whole. We have to always be willing to step back and think through criticism, just as I expect people to hear me when others attack me for my identity. This is why I unequivocally apologize.”
“At the same time,” she added, “I reaffirm the problematic role of lobbyists in our politics, whether it be AIPAC [the American Israel Public Affairs Committee], the [National Rifle Association] or the fossil fuel industry. It’s gone on too long and we must be willing to address it.”
She is not sorry for this comments, she has no regrets whatsoever, and make no mistake, her Democratic colleagues know of these, but they will not do anything about this. The question is, where is America going with the division, the lack of values and morals, above all the cultural wars tearing our beloved country apart. Rep. Ilhan Omar should be ashamed of herself, she is a disgrace to the Congress of the United States, she should be forced resign immediately.
Her fake Apologies will not fool us…
